NAC is interested in promoting high quality articles that submit the moral claims of the Christian Right to close scientific and logical scrutiny; that examine crucial issues of public policy such as abortion, stem-cell research and cloning; and that explore the dangers of religious fundamentalism and extremism and question the premises upon which the "War on Terror" is based.

He writes that there are no "blessed wars". Yet virtually all evangelical, conservative and many mainstream church leaders were active supporters of the Bush wars.
Dec 09 - March 11, 2004 in Madrid: Was it really an Islamist attack? A series of bombings plunged Madrid into mourning five years ago. The Spanish legal system concluded that this operation, attributed first to ETA and then to Al Qaeda, was Islamist inspired. The Spanish press, led by the newspaper El Mundo, today is calling into question that conclusion.

Oct 09 - 9/11 FEMA videographer at Ground Zero goes public. As official videographer for the U.S. government, Kurt Sonnenfeld was detailed to Ground Zero on September 11, 2001, where he spent one month filming 29 tapes: "What I saw at certain moments and in certain places ... is very disturbing!" He has never handed the tapes over to the authorities.

Those who are interested in issues like widespread corruption of US elected officials by foreigners have no doubt followed the ex-FBI translator turned whistleblower Sibel Edmonds saga for the past few years. Edmonds has finally testified in court about some of the things that she learned while working for the bureau.
Aug 09 - An Abortion Battle, Fought to the Death. Dr. George Tiller, whose clinic in Wichita, Kansas was one of the few in the nation to perform late-term abortions, was assassinated on 31 May. David Barstow, investigative reporter for The New York Times, argues that anti-abortion leaders made Dr. Tiller’s clinic the nation’s most visible abortion battleground.
